Hi all ! I want to learn how using the word OFF in any contexts. For example: Ron would take the cat "OFF" the tree if he could climb it

I am unsure about the use there.

OFF: is what I would call a placement word like: around, beside,under, on, above, below.

I took the kids off the table because they were standing on it.

I took the food off the oven after it finished cooking. 

In your sentence it would be out of the tree.
