GOING TO WORK ABROAD: AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY OR A SCARY ONE? In the last years, many Spanish travelled abroad to further their studies or to find a job. The main advantage is that you will improve or learn other languages. Going abroad is the best way to do it. You must speak in the foreign language from the moment you wake up until you go to bed. Another advantage is that it is a great opportunity to meet a lot of interesting people (most of them will be in the same situation) and know different cultures. Futhermore, you enjoy discovering other lifestyles and tasting typical food from these countries. On the other hand, there are also some important disadvantages. Although it is an exciting experience, you will feel quite homesick the first month. It is normal because you don’t know anybody and you aren’t near to your family and friends. Another negative aspect are the illnesses. For example, if you are going to work to Kenya, you must go to the doctor and ask him about Malaria and how you can prevent it. In conclusion, going to work abroad is a fantastic opportunity for everyone. It all depends on your knowledge, your personality and your ability to confront new situations.
