A little review of Fortitude's second season. Well, first of all, this is a review of the British TV show Fortitude. If you haven't seen the show yet and you want to do it, stop reading because I'm afraid I spill the beans. This doesn't intend to be a formal review, as the ones required in English tests, but only a small spontaneous review like one you'd see on an Internet forum. Of course, apart from correction, any comment about the show is very welcome. I agree with you completely. This second season was a huge disappointment to me. I couldn't see anything of what made Fortitude special during the first season. The story came to me as chaotic and inconnected. There were many references to what happened in the earlier final season, but no one said a thing about the characters missing between seasons. Special mention of the little girl, I think her name was Carrie, who had a huge role in the latest events, and neither Elena nor anyone else seem not to even remember her. But, besides and more important, what was a little and enigmatic town in the last season have turned into an excesively cold place, and I'm not meaning the climate! I had the feeling that everybody was dissapearing or dying and the show was running out of characters. Also, it looks as if some locations have changed (I'm not sure), making me even harder to recognise the Fortitude I'd seen before. I ask to myself what this season has added to the show and can save nothing but the acting which was already good. But what's the point of having great actors if you lead their characters to sudden deaths that not fulfill their storylines? Finaly, I'd like to point out the problematic of the plot holes. In the first season, I never knew why Dan was already at Proffesor's when Vincent discovered the corpse, and this season doesn't give an explanation neither. Also, in this season, we see Hildur's phone on the snow as a vital proof of the reason of her death, but this doesn't play any role at the end. I mightn't have follow the season properly, but I'm under the impression that it left too many loose ends. And these, in my opinion, make the show look shabby and unordered. After this, I have to say I'm not very excited about a third season. Anyway, I still look forward to moving to Svalbard :D
