Could you help me please with the word "thrive" ? The second and third form of it sounds as "throve" and "thriven" ( when we use it in past simple and present perfect forms ) but aslo it can be "thrived" and "thived" when we simply add "ed".

But, in the same time which forms I should use if I have been learning British variant of English ? Are some forms so old to use them? Or does it depend on area where these words are used?

Current British English usage, in my opinion : // I thrive, you thrive, he thrives, we thrive ...etc present // I thrived, you thrived, he thrived, we thrived - simple past tense, current usage // I have (had) thrived, you have (had) thrived, he has (had) thrived etc - normal present perfect, ( past perfect) // participle = thriving // "throve" and "thriven" I would only expect to see in old books :)
