#204 Could you help me correct this text? Every day, I’ve checked the exchange
rate between dollars and yen since this spring. The yen is weaker and has been going down
rapidly for the last twenty years. It has come to the point where it is getting hard to go abroad
from Japan. Personally I’m very sad and let out big sigh.
It’s good!!
Weaker yen, grammatically correct but made a conjunction since the yen being weaker and the yen going down rapidly are two different concepts.
“It has come to this” does mean the result of a situation but usually used in speech as a surprise or an declaration. “It has come to the point/reached the point” works better in essay writing.
Last sentence I’m not sure about the sigh part whether it was a feeling or you actually sighed.
