I have a point on this one. Online communication has two best things: maximum possible reach and freedom from personality traits such as age, gender, social status, etc. You're free to just pick a topic and discuss it with anyone interested. I enjoy this kind of online conversations, but many others still would like to lock on mentioned traits before going into conversation. Downsides of online communication are technology requirements and limitations. After having a good online interaction you often would like to meet offline, but it's often impossible due to long distance.
