The sentence is correct. Just to rephrase it, I would say.
I was studyng in Enayetpur islamia high school. However, I am currently studying for the ielts exam.

I studied at Enayetpur islamia high school. I am currently studying for/to take the ielts exam.
This is what I'd say. I deleted "however" because these sentences don't really show a contrastive connection. Good luck!
