I have a question. Is there any communication barrier in communicating with Arabs in modern standard Arabic? Will they only understand their own dialects instead of modern standard Arabic?

Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) is the standardized form of the Arabic language that is used in writing and formal speech throughout the Arab world. It is based on the classical Arabic of the Qur'an and is the language of official documents, news media, and education. MSA is understood by most educated Arabs and is used as a lingua franca for communication between speakers of different Arabic dialects.
However, it's important to note that MSA is not spoken as a native language by most Arabs. Instead, most Arabs speak one of the many regional dialects of Arabic as their first language. These dialects can vary significantly from one another and may not be mutually intelligible.
That being said, most Arabs are familiar with MSA and are able to understand it to some degree, even if they do not speak it fluently. In general, there should not be significant barriers to communication in MSA with educated Arabs, although there may be some challenges for those who are not familiar with the language or are not fluent speakers. It may be helpful to speak slowly and clearly when communicating in MSA to help ensure understanding.

Hi Dalton. The modern standard Arabic is mostly understood between Gulf, Levantine and Egyptian Arabs. Morocco, Tunisi and Algeria are totally off from this list, as they maintained a lot the influence of local tribe languages and the French Influence is very high on a language.

Hello Dalton, nice to meet you.
There really is no modern standard Arabic because each country has its own dialect called Amiyah. There may be some words that are the same but not entirely. This is what bridges the gap between them.
I only speak Fusha, proper Arabic and most Arabs don't understand it.
