These days more and more people shop online. Shopping online, however, has
several pros and cons to take into account before doing it. The great benefit of
online shopping is its convenience. People can compare products easily and
purchase what they want from a wide range of varieties(, buyers are spoiled for choice). There is no need to go
to department stores(go to brick and mortar stores) in the city center anymore. Another good aspect of shopping
on the internet is that customers can see reviews of sellers and items from
other customers. Word of mouth helps avoid bad experience. On the other hand,
the demerits include high shipping costs, risks of misunderstanding,
information leak, overindulging in shopping and less human customer experience(less face to face interaction).
Customers need to take necessary precautions against them, for example, by checking
the total cost carefully, setting a limit on monthly expenses and visiting
physical shops for items like clothes and shoes. To summarise, online shopping
is very useful as long as done properly.
Some suggestions in brackets but what you wrote is still fine.
"Spoiled for choice" is quite a useful phrase here. It means an abundance of choice.
"Brick and mortar store" is another common phrase. It refers to traditional, physical shops. It is often used when talking about online stores and you want to mention physical shops.
Finally, I think online shopping is something we do, not really something we use. The shopping platforms (like eBay, Amazon etc) on the other hand are something we use to shop online.
