How doy you say carne a la plancha in english...ironed meat? How can I say the expresions Carne a la plancha or pescado a la plancha ..on the iron?

No. Firstly, this kind of cooking is not as common in English-speaking countries as in Spanish-speaking countries, so many people might not ever use the term here. However, if we must give it a name I would say "hotplate". It certainly has nothing to do with "iron". As for the whole term "carne a la plancha", it is not easy to translate as there is no equivalent term. You might have to say something like "meat cooked on the hotplate", although this sounds a bit silly to me.

If meat is cooked on a hot plate or on a grill ,it is called grilled meat like a steak. You can also have grilled fish, chicken and lamb. If the meat is minced beef like in Chilli Con Carne then you call it minced meat. Australians call this type of cooking a barbeque where a selection of meat and fish are grilled on a metal plate over a fire , charcoal or gas.

I think a plancha is a "griddle" but if you cook meet on it, people here in the US would probably say the meat was grilled. But a grill is really a "parilla." It's probably because we don't cook meat on the griddle that much. Look up griddle on google images and you'll see all of the different things it includes.
