what's the mean by Gear? I always see the words like 'Top Gear'
what's the mean by Gear? I always see the words like 'Top Gear'. Some times when my work is busy, my manager will say: Despite we have high gears, but I want both standard and speed. Now I am very confusing about the word Gear. Thanks a million for helping me

The Gears are the mechanical parts responsible for transmitting rotating motions from a spindle to a shaft or so ....

Gear is a round metal or plastic......with teeth around it.
Top gear means.....highest gear....for increasing speed.
