What is a "vid-talk"? Yesterday i ran into an English chatting room. Lots of people there proposed such questions like" wanna vid talk?", i guess it is chatting on cam or vedio chat, but not sure about that.

It is short for video talk, where you can see the person you are talking to. You are correct.
