/ mi parve / in inglese si dice: it seemed to me;
in italiano puoi anche usare: mi sembro`, oppure: mi e` sembrato;
parve: inf.: parere, terza persona singolare, passato remoto.
La frase in italiano e` corretta;
(in that precise moment (allora) our lives seemed like nothing to me)

forse hai sbagliato?c'è una frase "mi pare" che significa mi sembra.(il verbo parere)
