"vor zwei Monaten" ist kein Zeitraum, sondern ein Zeitpunkt: der 15. November 2011.
"für zwei Monate" oder "zwei Monate lang" ist richtig. Etwas hat 2 Monate lang gedauert.
"seit zwei Monaten" ist auch ein Zeitraum. Etwas dauert 2 Monate, seit dem 15. November, bis jetzt. Vielleicht auch noch länger.
