Is it correct if I write "I'm not FOND OF sports, but I often go swimming"? I would like to know if the verb "to be fond of" is correct here

Not perfect! "Fond of" is fine, but the connection to the following clause is not perfect. I'm not fond of sports, but I DO like to go swimming a lot. This one is much better, as it connects the contrasting negative and positives in the right way.

'To be fond of...' is a correct usage but not going here. I think this sentence would be apt: I not into sports but i like to swim
