Per descrivere un'immagine, si dice 'Sull'immagine si vedono due persone' o 'Nell'immagine si vedono due persone'?

Nell'immagine;
si tratta di un contenuto (di informazione), e non di una relazione spaziale,
come: mi trovo sulla cima del monte, il gatto e` sul tavolo.
