how do u pronounce "karaoke" in English?
since most young people in my hometown like singing karaoke, sometimes when I try to describe the main recreation here, I am at loss.

The first syllable as "care" is very American. In Britain we pronounce it ka-ree-oh-key.

The official pronunciation is ker-ē-ˈō-kē in phonics it sounds like care-e-oh-key with dashes separating syllables.
