Well, should I say 我不是在家 to say that I'm not at home?

哈哈 楼上 你这样明确不可以呀 "am"属be动词（在这里是，它的另外一个身份是不及物动词）,be动词后面加not表否定，这是最基础的英语语法知识了呀，所以”I am not home"这句话的意思就是“我不是房子”，at属于介词，通常情况下介词是不能省略的，否则会造成语意表达不清。懂了吗？
