Se dice cuando alguien te ha explicado algo pero tiene dudas de que se le haya entendido. Viene del verbo "liar" que en este contexto significa "hacer que alguien este confuso". Se usa mucho la expresión: "me he liado" o "me he hecho un lío" (significan 'me he confundido', las dos).

Algichi tiene razón, la única nota adicional es que "liar" es un verbo usado principalmente en España, en otros países hispano parlantes no es tan común.
