what is the Nihongo for the word "then"? and how will i say "i will walk then take a bus"? pls answer in romaji....

Then=そして (soshite) I tried translating this sentence myself and I know that it is not accurate, even though native Japanese will definitely understand what I mean ("I will walk then take a bus")=> 「あるいたあとでバスに乗ります」(Aruita ato de basu ni norimasu)。This literally means "After walking I will ride the bus". In Japanese sentences are natural to say/hear when they are combined without the 'and' (~try comparing my Eng. translation with your Eng. sentence.) But please wait for other answers by native Japanese speakers. This was just a try for me.
