No, thank you, I don’t ____ sugar in tea. A. take B. put Note: Are both answers correct or is one better than the other (if so, why)? I personally like “put.”

Yes, both are correct and basically mean the same thing.

"take" would have to be vastly more common. I think it varies with the pronoun. I do not take sugar in (my) tea. = This is my choice. One does not put sugar in green tea. = It is never done.
