Yo diría que las dos son correctas, pero la primera suena mucho más natural y la segunda suena extraña. También se puede decir "tengo mucho trabajo por hacer".

Tengo muchas tareas para terminar.
Tengo muchos informes para entregar.
En Uruguay es correcto.
