Could you lend me some money? I’m very ____ of cash at the moment. A. scarce B. empty C. short D. down Note: I guess C is the answer, but shouldn’t it be “short/low ON cash?” Thanks

You are correct, good job! The answer is "short" and "on" instead of "of". WE can also say "low" as well, but saying "I'm poor" covers every base possible. : )
