"if it wasn't\weren't for the money" What should I use? Wasn't or weren't?

Technically, "weren't" is the correct grammatical version. But "wasn't" has become very frequent. In speech you can use either. Tor a test though, I suggest consulting someone in the know on these things. To play safe, use "weren't".

I think that either is OK. Weren't sounds a little old-fashioned to me, so I would use 'wasn't'.
