Both sentences should use "needs" instead of "need." The first sentence is more direct. The second sentence uses a passive voice.

Good heavens -- need my eyeglass prescription checked. 郭东兴 is correct, of course: you must add "s" to "need." Sorry!!

They're both correct. My sense is your first sentence is a somewhat more common way to phrase it, but again, either is correct. There's really no difference at all in meaning.
