Glance refers to your actions "I glanced at the schedule" (I looked briefly at the schedule)
A glimpse refers to the thing you're looking at. "I caught a glimpse of the schedule." (I saw the schedule)

Glimpse is a noun. Glance is a verb. They are just different forms of the same word.
