what's the difference between “”taking a picture“ and ”snap a picture“？
i know they have the same meaning，but which one is more common or colloquial ，i wonder if there are subtle differences between them

"Snapping a picture" is more colloquial. The "snap" imitates the clicking sound of old cameras when a photo is taken.
