Qual a diferença entre algo e "alguma coisa"?

Na maioria das vezes, você vai notar que "Algo" é igual a "Alguma coisa". Porém, depende do uso:
1) Se "algo" é usado como pronome indefinido:
ALGO = ALGUMA COISA
Exemplo: "Tenho algo em minhas mãos"
2) Se "algo" é usado como advérbio:
ALGO = UM POUCO
Exemplo: "Me sinto algo cansado"
