You are perfectly right in both pronunciation and writing . 筷子=chopsticks. 
of course, you may just ask them to bring you a pair of chopsticks as" 请给我筷子or 请给我双筷子，if you have companies, you may make it as " 请给我们筷子“， you don't even describe the "unit/ measure word" as they will never give you single piece as it doesn't work itself.
