What does "He stuck to his principles" mean??
It's not clear for me the meaning of "stuck".

"to stick to" means to adhere to; not abandon. El se aferró a sus principios.

Probablemente algo como: él (se?) pegaba a sus principios.
Es que "to stick to" = no abandonar
