Hi, ok, en el concepto que yo manejo, la diferencia es que heat es un sustantivo que traduce en en español como calor, por ejemplo: the heat of the sun: el calor del sol. Mientras que hot un adjetivo que traduce en español como caliente, por ejemplo: the soup's really hot: la sopa está realmente caliente..... I hope this can help you....
