I was watching an anime called hunterxhunter and when ever these boys named killua and gon trained they'd say it so nom I'm pretty. Curious about what it means

Yeah osu is like kinda informal greeting which students often use among themselves.

There is more meanings to it then one, but i use it more for greeting my close guy friends.
I'm American so i could be wrong, but my Japanese friends says it to me too.
