Becoming fluent is the goal of all of us who are learning a new language - but it takes time and practice - lots of time and lots of practice. You are on the right track, sticking with short sentences is better than saying nothing. As you improve, you will be able to respond more quickly and fluently, and compose more complicate sentences. If you haven't already done so, get a language partner and talk to them as often as possible. You can only learn to speak another language by actually speaking it. Good luck!

I think we all feel this way when we are learning. I certainly do. Speaking short sentences helps you remember those words for next time you use them. You can usually also get your meaning across with short sentences.
But - I suggest you use questions like this as a writing exercise. As such, you should try to get all your punctuation and grammar correct. Remember - capitalise I, and the first letter of a sentence. Put a space after a comma, or full-stop, and not before. Learn how to use the shift key on your keyboard if you don't already. I think that many Chinese people may not know that, and therefore try to avoid writing capitals!

Speak often, fluency takes time and practice. But also write, write regular Notebook entries, it helps fluency. (I got that tip from Zoya's notebook entry. It worked for her.)
