I think you saw or heard 'self esteem' which means having respect for yourself. e.g. Getting the job was good for her self esteem.

I think it is self-esteem. and it means what you think of yourself how you value yourself ( it could emotionally, mentally etc etc all sorts of levels)

I think you mean "self-esteem", which is how you feel about yourself
