What is the meaning of 'even' in 'is that even legal'? A British guy was making a joke to me last night. I think.. He said: 'Is that even legal?'. I am not sure what he meant. Especially what means 'even' in this sentence?? We were talking about sports. I said I am a trainer and a train a group of (mainly) women. I am an athletics trainer. Could you explain?
