Suppose a girl is speaking...
1) Sono vicino a te.
2) Sono vicina a te.
Does one of them seem more natural for you? Do you make any distinction of meaning between them?

When is a girl speaking the most correct is : Ti sono vicina o sono vicina a te.
When is a boy speaking, he will say : Ti sono vicino o Sono vicino a te.
My english is not so good, I hope you will understand.
