During or D(ju)ring?
Hello!
I am confused about pronunciation of the word "during". I heard two versions and I am quite worried that my "during" can be a "bad" one. Could someone explain why people say it differently, please? Is this another case British vs American English? Or maybe completely something else? Which one shall I use to be understood more easily?
Two versions I meant:

As you're living in England, Dan, you should go with the most usual pronunciation here, which sounds more or less like 'jooring'. The 'd' and the 'y' sounds blend together to make a sound like a 'j'. That's why 'dew' and 'due' both sound like 'jew', and 'duty' sounds like 'jewty'. There are a few regional British accents - Norfolk, for example - where the 'y' sound isn't present in these words, but these are the exceptions to the rule.

I'm Polish too and I mostly find myself saying "dźuring" :)

Both are acceptable in the UK - though I tend to lean more to the "juring" pronunciation too.

I think it depends on the accent, here in Australia I would pronounce it 'juring' I don't think there is a wrong way, but thats only my opinion
