How do you say "could you give me an example of this" in Mandarin? Thanks...I am trying to make a request to get someone to use unfamiliar characters in a sentence so I could understand the characters meaning/usage.

你可以给我举个例子吗？ni keyi gei wo ju ge lizi ma? give an example----------举例子 "个” is a measureword in Chinese. hope it is helpful~~

You can just say: 请给我一个例子。 Qǐng gěi wǒ yíge lìzi. Please give me an example. Or: 你可以给我一个例子吗？ Nǐ kěyǐ gěi wǒ yíge lìzi ma? Can you give me an example?
