Please help me correct this sentence 'When w e don't have a strong backup, w e must stand up and fight for the justice by ourselves.' I want to imply the government when I'm saying 'backup'. It's quite sensitive if I mention directly to the government in my country. Can you use 'backup' in this case?

A word that might be better is "ally" which is like back up, but "back up" is more like an idea than real thing. An ally is the person who gives you back up.

I would say "when we don't have good relationships or networks, it's hard for me to get a good job and work for our government"
