Hi Safiya! Of course! You can say that perfectly. In addition for example, you could say: "vaya calorazo" as well (hahahah)

También podría usarse "hace demasiado calor"... o... "el calor es mucho".... "el calor es demasiado"... "hace mucho calor"... todas significan algo parecido! :)

Sintácticamente no es correcto, pero en realidad es bastante común escuchar esta frase en México (no sé si también se de el caso en otros países de habla hispana)
