I might be totally mistaken, but kinda sounds like the name of an argentinian presenter, Iván de Pineda. Could it be?

"Penida", no no tiene sentido, no creo que este bien escrito. ¿A lo mejor "venida" ?

¿Iban de venida? That's seems to be some informal spanish, which translates something like: "They were coming"
