Hi Olya, There is a difference in meaning between "Having taken" and "Being taken". "Being xxxx" is often used in sentences constructed in the passive voice. In this construction, the emphasis is on the person or thing receiving the action. Example: The bully was taking the purse away. (Active voice) The purse was being taken away by the bully. (Passive voice) "Having xxxxx" emphasise on the person or thing doing to action. The action was done in the past. Example: Having completed his work, he went to bed. "Having taken" is correct, but the way you have written the sentence it is not clear whether she slammed the purse on the counter, or the note on the counter. Which did you mean?

"After taking out a note, she slammed the purse down on the counter."
