Can I put the phrase "that being said or having said this" at the beginning of the paragraph?
Hi guys.
I'm preparing for IELTS in May, and writing is really bugging me.
I picked up a nice phrase, 'having said this' . which I like to use in speaking part.
And it just occurred to me that it could be nice if I use this phrase in writing part as well.
But I don't wanna take a risk. So I just want to make sure if I can use it.
Here's a question,
When I write something about pros and cons and I put something good or bad in the second paragraph(the first for of course introduction), can I use 'that being said or having said this' at the beginning of the following paragraph so as to contradict the idea mentioned before?
Is it good to use this instead of the conjunctions like however, on the other hand?
Do I make a good impression on an examiner?
Thank you for reading, looking forward to your reply.
