What's the difference between si prega di e per favore? Could you give some examples, pls?

Si prega di -- è Impersonale. "Si prega di fare silenzio (>>tutti)"
Per favore -- è personale. "Per favore, potresti fare silenzio?" (>> tu)

It's like this, please don't make noise.. per favore is a phrase
I beg you(literal) is a verb or Could you please stop making noise? si prega di fare silenzio.
In practice both are the same but si prega di is impersonal it can't be like this:
if you tell your friend, you don't say si prega di mangiare, you say eat please.
if it's an order for anyone, you can use both, si prega di non mangiare. non mangiare per favore

"Si prega" è impersonale soprattutto nel senso che non è individuato l'autore della richiesta:
- Si prega di non fumare (lo stabilisce la legge)
- Si prega di non fare rumore (lo stabilisce il buon senso)
"Per favore è personale più dal punto di vista della richiesta:
- per favore smettete di urlare (mi state dando fastidio)
- per favore passami il sale (ne ho bisogno)
