I use two books, both made by my Russian teachers. Nevertheless, one of them uses a good methodology which "needs" the explanations of my teacher. The other is perfect for someone who have to teach someone or someone self-taught. I have the Spanish version: "Curso de ruso para hispanohablantes nivele elemental - intermedio - avanzado". Maybe you can find it translated into other languages...

I use "living language Russian-essential" which is very good for a fresh beginner. It comes with DVD. I dont use other resources. I find that book sufficient with a language partner as supplement..
