Vivre et Habiter. What's the difference between Vivre and Habiter in French. They both mean live in the dictionary.

'Vivre' means to live in the sense of being alive, while 'habiter' means to live in the sense of where you reside ( think of the English words 'inhabit' or 'inhabitant'.) They're interchangeable in some contexts. For example, you could translate 'I live in Paris' as either 'Je vis à Paris' or 'J'habite à Paris'. But unless you're talking about a place of residence, you have to use 'vivre'.
