Actually...some pronounce it as Kan-bra. Some as KAN bare uh, Some as kan BARE uh. Australian English is one of the most homogenous dialects in the world over such a wide space and we have no troubles understanding someone from the other side of the country. The Maquarie dictionary is the best for Australian English. It has guides for the most common and divergent pronunciation. Not to forget all the different vocab.

Every dictionary I've looked at pronounces it KAN bare uh (emphasis on the first syllable). I'm not an Aussie, so I could very well be wrong.
