Does anyone perhaps know the difference between “中学” and “初中”? IS there really a difference? 很多谢！

From my view,中學 in Malaysia is refer to the whole secondary school period, but 初中 is part of them,It is between 13-15 years old, so 16-17/18 years old will study in 高中(high school).
