Could you please tell me if there are polite ways to say "What do I care?"/ "Why should I care?"
Hello everyone.
"What do I care?" and "Why should I care?" are rude expressions aren´t they? I think so! :-) Therefore, could you please tell me if there are polite ways to say them?
I have the same question about " It´s not my business.". Could you also answer me this question, please?
Thank you for your help!

Hi Julia
Yes, they are usually considered abrupt, maybe even rude - it depends a lot on the tone of voice and the body language - you could just shrug your shoulders!
For the first, maybe "Sorry, I'm not interested in the slightest". or "I'm just not interested"
For the second, perhaps "It's nothing to do with me." or "It's no concern of mine"

You could say, 'Hmm that's interesting but I'm busy right now. Catch you later, OK?". That way you don't offend the person who one day could be your boss! As for your last sentence, you can say, "I don't have any idea about that, why don't you ask XXXX?'

just add "sorry" at the beginning, that should be enough
like:
sorry, but i'm not interested
sorry, but i don't care about that
sorry, but i just don't care
or just say "sorry" with a smile and walk away or continue with that you were doing
