Fame simply means being famous. It can be for anything. Your name is known.
In the example you gave, glory is accolades. The fame is accompanied by the acknowledgment of something good and noteworthy.
Glory in general has to do with noticing something very, very good about something or someone; worthiness and beauty in its or their own way.

Fame last longer than glory. Famous people are remembered for ages. While a person can be glorified for a short period of time
Glory is To talk about something in a way which makes it seem better than it is.
For example: The truth Is Jimmy never scores a goal, he always miss the goal.
"One day Jimmy scored the winning goal of the soccer match." hence the team won and Jimmy was glorified.
